![]() It forces window focus which is very annoying while updates download, as in while the auto-updater is running/download, I cannot use or type in any other application because the window focus jumps back to the UMS updater instantly. Is there any way to capture a log of it attempting to launch to figure out why it is failing?Īlso while we're talking, I'd also like to mention an issue with the auto-updater dialog box. This worked for me and is the solution to my particular problem. Whether or not I was just lucky or this will actually work for all of you I don't know. D/clicking the icon does open the settings panel. While the box is showing, there is no access to the 'Main Panel' by right clicking the icon in Notification Area. I clicked the download button and hey presto it worked. This box cannot be removed by the 'Close' button though it can be removed via the W10 Task Manager. So it seems to be an issue that randomly occurs in somewhat recent versions. This morning, (13.6.20), the UMS auto update came up telling me there was a new version, (9.6.0). It is actually an evolution of the SubJunk. It is based on PS3 Media Server by shagrath. Next, I reinstalled 10.8.1 which made it work once again. Then I let the auto-updater run and it installed 10.8.2, which DID work this time. Universal Media Server is a DLNA-compliant UPnP Media Server. This attempt to reopen failed and I got the jvm.cfg error. To do this, I quit UMS and then re-opened it. ![]() I tried updating via triggering the auto-updater. Update reverted, as Microsoft meanwhile have fixed the original issue. I went to update to 10.8.2 again at your request. Fix erratic behaviour of Force 16 bit option, especially when WDM driver does. This update, been version 6.3.1.1, attempts to address the connectivity issues but reading the comments over at the UMS site both PS3 and PS4 users are still having trouble. ![]() Okay, so it does seem to be something else going on rather than just the new version. What was reported last was improved connectivity to your devices but it seems that it was not the case for many a PS3 or PS4 user. I've seen that before but haven't reproduced it reliably, it might mean that some files didn't install properly. I get an error dialog box for failing to launch jvm.cfg. I cannot launch UMS after updating to this version on Windows 10.
